Erin was born and raised in Homer, Alaska, and enjoyed fishing, crabbing, clamming, competitive swimming, lifeguarding, and teaching swimming lessons. She then left the state to pursue her BA degree in Exercise Science from Linfield College in McMinnville, OR, and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. She met her husband, Jason, while attending Pacific and after graduate school they moved to Washington to begin their careers with Providence in Centralia, Washington. Erin worked in outpatient orthopedics for 2 years before pausing for the birth of their daughter.
Shortly after, Erin started independently contracting her services throughout the South Puget Sound area as an orthopedic physical therapist. Business quickly picked up and, over the next 5 years, Erin kept busy by meeting and treating new patients and collaborating with many different therapists. During this time, their son was born.
In September of 2012, Jason and Erin opened their first clinic. Centralia Physical Therapy. They both practiced at this location until their second clinic, Chehalis Physical Therapy, opened in September of 2017. Erin transferred her practice to the new growing location and started treating patients at the south end of the twin cities. She has loved watching and being a part of the practice growing and serving the community!
Erin’s education includes in-depth orthopedic training, McKenzie for the lumbar spine, multiple courses based on functional movement and treatments, pre and post-natal treatments, Kinesiotape and McConnell taping techniques, and myofascial release.
She continues to love taking continuing education classes to keep abreast of the latest research, techniques, and outcomes in physical therapy and medicine. She is passionate about educating her patients and teaching them how to independently manage their condition.
