
Denise Gentzler
Denise was born and raised in Bend, Oregon, where she developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and physical activity. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Biology from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, she went on to obtain her graduate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. Denise’s professional experience spans several locations, including Juneau, Alaska; Cleveland, Ohio; and Spokane, Washington, where she specialized in both inpatient and outpatient neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation.
In 2003, Denise and her family relocated to Olympia, Washington, where she spent 21 years working in outpatient orthopedics at Providence Tumwater Valley Physical Therapy, prior to the practice’s transition to new ownership under Tumwater Valley Physical Therapy.
Denise’s educational background includes extensive training in running assessments, the treatment and prevention of running injuries, and foot and ankle rehabilitation, including orthotic fabrication. She is also highly skilled in general orthopedics, with a particular focus on shoulder and knee treatments. Denise is certified in Graston Technique, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), kinesiotaping, and the McKenzie Method for spinal care. Additionally, she holds an endorsement in Trigger Point Dry Needling.
Outside of her professional life, Denise is an avid athlete, often playing tennis, running, or biking with her husband, Todd, or with her friends and tennis teams. She is also actively involved in her church and with Young Lives. Denise cherishes spending time with her two young adult daughters and enjoys traveling and exploring new places with Todd. The couple has a property in eastern Wyoming, where they retreat to relax and immerse themselves in nature.
