Greg was born in Ann Arbor, MI and raised with 7 siblings in Canton, MI. Greg was an avid soccer player up through high school and ventured into football, diving, track and theatre. Greg also developed a strong love for the outdoors as he grew up hunting, fishing and exploring nature with his family. Multiple volunteering and community service opportunities and local church involvement, helped build a foundation to work with people in a caring, therapeutic setting.
Greg attended Eastern Michigan University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science with a therapeutic recreation degree. This type of work helped provide quality of life and the essential communication skills for TBI, Geriatric and at risk youth populations. He then pursued and obtained a myomassology diploma. As a practitioner of therapeutic massage. Greg increased his experience of knowledge of the human anatomy, physiological systems, a sense of well-being and the basics of normal movement.
Several years later, Greg obtained a Master’s degree in OT from Eastern Michigan University. During his 14 years as an Occupational Therapist, Greg has acquired valuable knowledge and experience in acute care, skilled nursing, work conditioning/hardening, and hand therapy/outpatient settings. Greg is well-rounded and can treat a variety of conditions to help people restore their health and return to their preferred activities of daily living. Greg is always looking to better himself through continuing education, engagement with patients to learn from their personal experiences and collaborate with them on the best possible outcomes for their healthcare. Greg specializes in kinesio taping (level III), neuro reeducation, sensory reeducation, manual therapeutic techniques, custom splint making and individualized exercise programming.
Greg lives in Rochester, WA with his wife of 11 years, two sons and a pug named Bella Boo. Greg and his family live life to its fullest. The Szydlowski’s love God, family, community and country. They can be found hiking Rainier, charter fishing and crabbing out of Westport, WA, camping in the Cascades, exploring the rich history of the early pioneers and always on the lookout for that big buck!
